Ryerson's Next Top Speaker
I had the pleasure of being an MC for Ryerson’s Next Top Speaker, the largest public speaking competition on campus. I have been working with my team on this event for the past six months and to see it all come together was a dream come true.
This year, we had 150 people attending and hundreds more watching from our live stream where we were able to engage students from across campus. The Top 8 speakers shared personal stories with a focus on mental health. To emphasize the importance of mental health during this event, Ryerson Toastmasters donated 100% of ticket sales to The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation.
Seeing the event come to life due to the hard work of the RyersonToastmasters team has been an extremely rewarding experience and I’m proud to be a part of this event which highlights the art of storytelling.
Thank you to everyone who attended, and I hope to see you all at RNTS next year!
